Posting Groups

Page history last edited by Ping.fm 14 years, 11 months ago

Posting groups allow you to post to the social networks of your choice.  Ping.fm has a complete posting group manager to add and modify the groups you've created.

Create your posting groups here.

For example; Say you have Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn set up and you want to post to Twitter and Facebook, but not LinkedIn.  This can be easily done.

The first step is to select the method you wish the group to be associated with.  You can pick from Status Updates,

Micro-blogging and Blogging.  Click here to learn more about methods and their differences.

Once you have your method selected, enter the identifier or name of the group.  This must be at least 1 character long and can't contain numbers or punctuation.

When you've filled out the form, click the "Add Posting Group" button.  Doing so will put you at a page that gives you a list of social networks you've set up as the group you selected.

Check the boxes next to the social networks you want to add to this group.  When you're finished, click "Add Posting Group."

Let's say you created the group "test."  You can post messages to this group by simply adding a hashtag of the group name before your message.

Example: #test Testing my Ping.fm group out.

The above example would post "Testing my Ping.fm group out." to the services you selected under the "test" group you created.
