Information regarding Pingfm Developer API Keys

Page history last edited by christine 13 years, 5 months ago

Greetings Ping.fm users,

First we'd like to thank all of our users for all your support! We greatly appreciate the feedback and help you have provided us to improve this service.

To continue to make improvements to the Ping.fm site, we would like to take this time to inform our users that we will temporarily no longer be accepting any new API key requests for application developers.

To be clear, This does not affect your current usage of your Ping.fm Application Key used for any 3rd party Ping.fm applications. Your Ping.fm Application Key is still available here: http://ping.fm/key/ and can be used per usual.

The API key requests we are referring to, deal with applications which integrate or are based around the Ping.fm API. These API key requests will temporarily no longer be accepted as we want to take this time to review and consolidate the structure of Ping.fm. Again, this is only temporary until we have a new system in place. If you have an API key that already has been approved, this will continue to work and will not be affected by these changes. Thank you again for your continued support and hope you will continue to use Ping.fm and stick around with us as we make improvements.

Please feel free to contact our support team if you have any questions regarding this matter. You can send us a message on twitter @askseesmic or you can submit a help ticket on our helpsite: http://help.seesmic.com/

Best Regards,

The Seesmic Team
